About
I grew up attached to my TV screen watching classic films and television, seeing plays and musicals, and reading whatever books I could get my hands on. I realized I craved story, fascinating worlds and color. Even though I was an artistic kid, I had no idea how I could meld my love for art, with my need of story. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I finally got involved in the art department of the drama program. (And we all know where it goes from there!)
I continued this creative path and now have a B.F.A. in Production Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a minor in Furniture Design. I have done costume design, installation work, live lighting design, scenic design, model making, and have worked on films, cat walks, events, themed entertainment, and live theater. From taking on all of these roles I find myself wanting to become an art director. As an artist and designer I need a starting point. And I find that starting point in the collaborations I have with fellow talented artists, designers, writers, and directors in bringing their visions into actuality. I am currently the Properties Designer at the University of Mississippi.
